AE 3D Motor - The Lost City is the follow up to the popular Windows Phone endless racing game, AE 3D Moto.
Race on a dream machine
The gameplay in AE 3D Motor - The Lost City is exactly the same as the first version of the game. You have to travel as far as you can, collecting coins along the way to build up points. You can challenge yourself against others in online leaderboards.
Whereas the first game had just one bike, AE 3D Motor - The Lost City gives you a choice of four motorcycles - a Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Y2K and Dodge Tomahawk. Only the Harley is available at the start and you'll need to unlock the others by collecting coins (lots of them!) or purchasing them in-app.
There are a few power-ups to add some spice to the gameplay, such as coin magnets, sirens, and boosts. AE 3D Motor - The Lost City introduces collectable puzzle pieces, and once you've completed the puzzle you can ride in a bonus round where coins abound.
Manuvering your vehicle in AE 3D Motor - The Lost City is done by titling your phone from side to side to steer, and holding down the screen to accelerate. It's a control system that's easy to get to grips with, although it's still difficult to master as the volume of traffic on the roads increases during the game.
Perhaps the main flaw of AE 3D Motor - The Lost City is that the bike disappears from view when you're right at the side of the screen, which can lead to crashes. It doesn't appear that these 'blind spots' are deliberately placed in the game, and hopefully it's something that the developer will address in a future update.
The graphics in AE 3D Motor - The Lost City have been tuned a bit from the first version of the game. Backgrounds are more detailed and the animation feels even smoother than before. The sound effects are good too, although we're still bothered by the unrealistic feel of the decerlaration in the game.
AE 3D Motor - The Lost City is a run-of-the-mill endless racing game that brings nothing new to the genre. Still, it's a lot of fun and makes for a great timewaster.
